YosemiteYOSEMITE
(3 Days / 2 Nights)

Dates:               March 30 – April 1, 2008
Cost:                 $429 per person / double occupancy

Guests will depart San Francisco and drive through Livermore Valley and over Altamont Pass to arrive at Yosemite Park at about noon. Over the next 2 and a half days, guests may tour Yosemite’s Tunnel View and Merced River, Glacier Point or the Yosemite Valley Tour. Bike, hike or relax at your leisure at one of the nation’s most beautiful national parks. Lodging will be at the Yosemite Lodge.

This tour begins by crossing the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge and heading for Muir Woods National Monument. Once you arrive, you will have an hour and a half to walk among the towering Coastal Redwoods before you head north into California’s premiere wine regions. Guests make a stop in Healdsburg for lunch and cheese tasting. Then it’s off to taste the wines of at least three small, family-owned, incredibly scenic wineries. At each winery, guests will be able to indulge in tasting three to four wines and browse their gift shops. After a full day, guests will take a break and check into the hotel. The elegant Tuscan-styled hotel surrounds a luxurious courtyard pool, spa and sundeck and has lovely views of the Mayacamas Mountains to the East. The casually elegant guest rooms are spacious yet cozy and provide all the comforts of home including high-speed internet access. Guests may dine on their own at the hotel restaurant, which prides itself on fresh local ingredients, inspired preparations and impeccable service.

Guests will depart San Francisco for a leisurely trip to beautiful Monterey and its famous coastal scenery. Monterey cypress, palatial homes and immaculately kept golf courses, including the world famous Pebble Beach, are all attractions in this beautiful part of the world. Guests have the opportunity to tour the area and learn about its vast history. The tour winds along the Pacific Grove coastline and on into 17 Mile Drive, which runs through the Del Monte Forest. You’ll see one of California’s most familiar landmarks, The Lone Cypress Tree. Its stark beauty has inspired countless artists, photographers and sightseers. This extension allows for meals on your own, an overview narrated tour on arrival day, lodging at the Hyatt Regency Monterey and time on your own to make the best use of the many exciting activities available on the Monterey-Carmel peninsula.

Lake TahoeLAKE TAHOE (CANCELLED)

            Cost:                 $535 per person / double occupancy

Aboard a deluxe, European-style motor coach, guests will travel from San Francisco for a leisurely drive through the fertile Central Valley to Sacramento, the capital of California. Guests will stop at Old Sacramento, the western terminus of the famed Pony Express where the gold-rush era is preserved in a 28-acre historic zone of shops and museums on the waterfront. The journey continues through the foothills of the historic gold country “the mother lode” to the rugged and beautiful mountains of the Sierra Nevada. Guests will then arrive in breathtakingly beautiful Lake Tahoe. After checking into Harrah’s Hotel Resort and Casino, guests will be at leisure to try their luck at the hotel’s casino or hike among the beautiful mountains and lakes. This evening the group will enjoy an evening of dining and dancing onboard the MS Dixie II, a Mississippi-style paddle wheeler which reflects the authentic riverboat charm, décor and ambiance of the Mark Twain era. During this sunset dinner cruise to beautiful Emerald Bay, guests will enjoy live entertainment, dancing and a romantic dinner on of the ship’s enclosed decks. The next day, guests will take a leisurely drive to Virginia City, at one time “The Queen of the West.” The tour continues to Carson City for a driving tour of the Capital Building, the Governor’s Mansion and the Nevada State Museum. Back at the hotel, guests are at their leisure to enjoy dinner at one of the great restaurants at Stateline and then take in a lounge show or revue.

Tour Registration

  • Register now to ensure your reservation for tours. On-site registration will be limited and will be accommodated on a space-available basis only.
  • Closing date for advanced registration is Monday, March 17. Tour registrations received after this date and on-site in San Francisco will be subject to availability and a surcharge of $5.00 per ticket. ICEM reserves the right to cancel tour programs if minimums are not met. Tours are based on a minimum of 20 passengers per vehicle.
  • Full payment to “Key Events / USA Hosts” must accompany your registration form. All payments are due in the amount of U.S. dollars, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, traveler’s checks for on site purchase. No personal checks. Cash (onsite sales only) is accepted.
  • Refunds will only be made if written notice is received by Monday, March 17. Refunds may be picked up at the Tour Desk. There will be no refunds for written requests received after Monday, March 17.
  • All tours will depart from the San Francisco Hilton Hotel, Taylor Street. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure time.
